About Me

My Photo
I started to write this blog in January 2010 when I found out I had breast cancer. In the archive you can read my honest account on the whole experience. How devastating it was for me and how I didn't know if I was going to live to see the next Christmas. How my beautiful family (my little boy and a wonderful husband) supported me through surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The cancer has just come back and metastasised with a vengeance and it is now incurable, at least by conventional medicine. I am trying alternative treatments but I also believe God wants to heal me.

  1. I can't really put into words what an inspirational woman you are to me. I have learned so much from you.

To be open, friendly and ready to say 'yes'.
To face the problems in my life head-on without feeling sorry for myself.
To stop judging or concerning myself with things that are not really important.
To be honest and have humility but also to cherish and believe in myself so I am a better role model for my kids.
To look after myself better and make healthy choices in mind, body and spirit for my own sake and for my family.

I will think of you always. Wishing you love and light xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  4. Malina. If life were a test, you would have passed it with flying colours. You have faced life and all its challenges with the courage we all pray, but doubt, we would find. You have touched so very many lives and hearts with everything you have done and said, and given so much positivity to so many. You can go forward to the next part of your journey with nothing to regret and nothing to be afraid of. You have given something so beautiful and perfect to the world in your gorgeous son, and in the love you have given to your wonderful husband. And, hard though it must be for you to believe right now, there is still so much joy to come for you when this suffering is over and you are reunited with your own mother - a big party to be had when you are once again with other loving friends and family. And you will always be with Aaron and Bob. Aaron will always know that you are with him. And not only will you be with them without feeling the pain that you might imagine at the physical separation, but you will continue to be able to help your beloved family in more concrete ways than you now think are possible. I can promise you that you have so much to look forward to, life will be different, but not over, and I promise you (though I hope, and think, that you know) that this is true. I give you all my love and healing for the journey you have ahead, though I will speak to you in the future. You have made so many lives, including my own, a better, sweeter place, God bless you. Love, light, hugs and kisses. XXxxxxxxx

  5. Your illness has drawn so much love out into the world. It has changed me. I will weep for your family, in loss but also in joy; joy that they have have you to hold in their hearts. How is it that we can reconcile the holding on with the letting go? You have reminded me that this is the path we all travel. Peaceful travels.

  7. Malina,

My love to you and your family as you walk this path called life. I am convinced that you are approaching just another goalpost, not a finish line. You are a beautiful soul, and although our intersection was fleeting, you will leave a lasting imprint on my heart.

Thank you for sharing and giving. You are an exemplary light and truly shine with the brilliance of the brightest star.

    Safe travels, my friend.

    Your Health Nut sister,
    Darlene
